Advertising

I designed the logo, and all the advertising for a company based in Africa, using InkScape, and created their website using HTML and CSS.

I also created the website that you are looking at now, using HTML and CSS in Virtual Studio. I don't use templates because they prevent me from learning, and therefore progressing.

HiFi speakers

I designed and built HiFi speakers using quality German speakers and crossovers. The unique thing about these speakers is that they look like pictures that are hung on the wall.

I travelled to Suzhou in China to have one of the key parts manufactured as I couldn't get it done in the UK.

Robots

This is the spider that I built.

My intention was to learn Python so that I can program it to do things other than just move around and crouch. It has a camera and ultrasonics for distance measurement.

The batteries run down very quickly though.

DIY

I enjoy woodwork. This was a kit that my wife and I put together, but I turned it into an outdoor kitchen area with storage and a sink. I also built a large decked area with planters and seating.

Bathroom Showroom

How do you prove to yourself that you can achieve anything you put your mind to? You do it! This is one of the fabulous displays at a bathroom showroom that I joint-owned.

I needed to prove to myself that I can sell, as well as run a business.

Sport

I passed my Day-Skippers license at a sailing school in Lanzarote. In order to pass, I also had to have previously passed a navigation course.

I got my first Black Belt in a Korean Martial Art at the age of 21, and my second a couple of years later. I started teaching when I was still a blue belt though.
